The woman on a canoe

Two-arm powered canoe

Smooth you sail this water;

One right, one left, you flew…

Forward, rows your daughter.

Tiny, greeny, broken canoe.

Valiant woman, gentle mother,

You complement one another

as if you were one, you are two.

Row steady, keep your pace,

from this lake touching its skin

you fly into outer space;

slow down, prevent a tailspin.

Row no more, the trip enjoy;

you’re the mother, and the daughter,

canoe and woman not a hoy.

To be strong is the matter.

Escort them till the end,

don’t let them stole your life,

nowadays strangers rife;

How can they the lake amend?
